Taken from his upcoming album WILL THIS MAKE ME GOOD; Nick Hakim has dropped ‘CRUMPY’. The track kicks off with a lo-fi, distant guitar played by Mac Demarco himself, before Hakim’s soulful voice begs a lover to return to him. The end of the track turns everything on its head, leaving vocals and melody in the past and fading out with a barrage of experimental noise. In regard to creating his upcoming album, Hakim explains that, “I feel the people simmering, on our way to the boiling point. There's a lot of madness going on around us and this world can feel so cold. It can get hard to remember what makes it worth it. The people around me and the music I love helps”.
